I started some lantana seeds a week ago. They're in little plastic pots with a generic seed-starting/soilless mix. Because the pots obviously have no moisture-retension dome, I instead covered the pots with plastic wrap (secured with a rubber band) and poked six holes in the top of each with a toothpick.

Now, lantana has a germination period of 6-8 weeks. And just today, I noticed one of my pots displaying the earliest "wisps" of what appears to be white mold. They just look like a few white hairs sticking up. This can't be good! I even made sure to do the "squeeze technique" with the soil before planting. That is, I made sure water didn't ooze out of the soil when I squeezed it ... so hopefully it's not an over-watering problem.

How in the world am I supposed to maintain constant moisture for 6-8 weeks if this is going to happen?
And by the way, I'm obviously going to transfer the seedlings to a fresh batch of potting mix ASAP (from a hopefully more reputable brand, Schultz).

Does anyone have any suggestions???
