| I just started some tobacco seeds (Virginia Brightleaf and Golden burley) in some peat in a jiffy seedling tray. I didn't cover them at all like the instructions say, I just sprinkled a few seeds in each cell, then I misted all of them with water and covered it with the lid. Now where do I put them? Under a light? Where they'll get no light at all? Do I want to mist them every day? How many days before they germ/emerge from the peat? Thanks for any advice. |

| SOIL temperature for germination 70-75F taking 14 days. growing on temp (after germination)60-62F & takes 3-6 weeks from germination to transplant & in a 4" pot, 10-12 weeks to transplant outside. This plant will not tollerate cold ... & growth regulators helps at transplantIdeal pH 5.8-6.0 (Acid soil) good light either natural or grow lights helpful. |

| Yes it doesn't like cold nor do I think it likes excessive heat. When travelling to visit my sister we pass by tobacco farms and they have huge shade cloths above the plants |
