Birds would be my guess as they love to do this but I have no idea what is "up and about" in your neck of the woods this time of year.

But I have to add that no way were those young seedlings near ready to be exposed to the outside yet.

Hopefully the repotted ones will recover but I'd sure plant more as the odds are against them recovering.

Where is this container located?

I live in Russian Mission. It was outside in the sun light and the temperature was 50 out of the sun light according to the thermometer. Will not be putting them outside till they are bigger. Have them on windows sills now. The true leaves are growing on some of them and are getting bigger.
