Scratching Cana seeds

I found that these dog nail clippers work really great for the job of nicking hard seed coats, and the seeds do not go flying all over the place.

I do quite a lot of Cana specie seeds by rolling them between two coarse sandpaper blocks until a white spec shows. Al
