I'm trying to grow palms from seed. I have a few kinds, like dwarf fan palms and Phoenix canariensis. What is the general percentage of the seeds that grow and how do you do it?

scarify seed..... soak in water for 24 hours THEN lightly cover seed soil temperature 75-80F takes 21-540 days to germinate.

The seed was found, and looks old. Should I find some fresh seed? Just wondering...

Today I have just found 9 germinated seeds out of the Batch of 30! 2 months to germinate... But I'm happy now! The roots are Absolutely huge... :)
