 o
germinated seeds in soiless medium - put into potting soil when?

I have seeds that have just popped up. I started them in a soiless seed starting medium.

Two questions, please:

1) Do I move them into a potting soil immediately or wait until true leaves form?

There is nothing in this sterile medium to feed them. Can little seedlings live a while like this?

2) I have them under a plastic tent on a heating mat. Now that they've germinated, should I remove them from the heating mat and tent?

Yes remove the tent and heat. When the seedlings show signs that water is needed, immerse the container half way up the sides into a bath of 50% diluted fertilizer water. When the surface shows the water presence by looking shiny take the container out of the bath. Do not water again until the surface looks dry. When the seedlings have at least one set of true leaves they may be separated into each his own pot of potting soil or planting mix. Al
