| I have read here, and otherplaces, that the productivity of pepper plants can be diminshed if the plants are allowed to be 'chilled' to too low of a temperature. No where have I been able find what that "too low of a temperature" might be. I would appreciate some help as to what that temperature would be.
I would also appreciate multiple opinions as to whether or not I am jeopardizing my pepper plant productivity if I leave them unprotected for a few days with forecast highs of mid 60's F and low of 50 F. Many thanks for your help,

| If they have been properly hardened off, they should be fine at those temps. They prefer it warmer, but I doubt production would suffer from the temps dropping slightly for a short time. For a longer period, their growth would slow, but should return once it warms up. They won't be 'injured' unless there is frost, a fierce wind, hail during a storm, etc. Here's some more info... |

| That is good news! I have some pepper seedlings on my porch that I need to put in the garden, but it is 50 degrees tonight in TN! Ugh! |
