 o
zinnias have not sprouted yet

I am giving up hope that my zinnias would still come out. I put the seeds in about 6 weeks ago, which I thought was late, but this spring in Vancouver is unusually cold, even today hovering around 10 degrees C (where are our May 20 plus temperatures??). I have not seen any signs of any sprouting. I planted some alyssum seeds just a week ago, on an exeptionally warm day and yesterday they were out. Should I give up on zinnias and start thinking about using the space differntly, or is this normal? my first time planting zinnias so have no idea.

thanks!

Zinnia germinate at 24 to 28 Celsius you need to increase soil temp or plan or another flower to fill that space.

thanks yiorges, does that mean that the seed is spoiled now or it will still germinate once we get those temperatures?
