| I was about to direct sow some Magellan zinnias, but the packet and other places on the web say they take up to two weeks (some sites say longer) to germinate. WHAT?!?! Is this true? I would have sown them indoors if I had known they would take so long. I've had zinnias sprout in 1.5 days from direct sowing. I've never heard of zinnia taking so long to sprout.
Thanks for your help! |

| Nah, it will take 1.75 days to germinate. I think these seed companies are like other companies that they have to put everything legally right. If they put 1-2 days and yours take 3 days, you might complain, so they might as well put 7-14 days (as most of my packets say for zinnia). Under some special circumstances, it might take that long, so they might want to be safe. I have grown Magellan before, and it didn't take that long. |

| Is it warm enough in your location to direct sow? |
