Sweet Corn

This is sort of a follow up on another thread in this section.

So anyway I have some Peaches and Cream Hybrid Sweet Corn (Lake Valley Seed) and have about four 5.27 gallon pots. Can I grow Sweet Corn in these pots? If so, how many seeds a pot?

My last question is about hand-pollinating. Since I'm not planting long rows, I've heard I have to hand-pollinate the corn. I've watched some videos on it, all seem to have different techniques. Does anyone have a way good way of doing this?

Info greatly appreciated! I need to get these corn plants started!

Well you can give it a try but with the understanding that the odds are against you in a container that small. I'd plant 7-10 seeds spaced around the outside of the container and thin to the best 5. Tie off the container so it doesn't fall over.

Once pollen is developed on the tassel cut one off and lightly beat it all over the silks on the ears. Repeat daily with a fresh tassel.
