Nicotiana Babies

I collected a bunch of seeds from my mom's Perfume deep purple nicotiana last year. I just wanted to know if this plant grew true from seed.
My hope is that it's a hybrid so it doesn't. I'd love to see other colors of it. I saw a pink variety of it in my biology book and it was sooooooo nice :) gracias for any help :)

RE: Nicotiana Babies

This is a F1 selection & will NOT come true from seed....BUT if you will get THE pink color you desire that is a question you will have to answer this fall.

RE: Nicotiana Babies

Thank you so much :) I will definitely inform you of their color when they bloom :) it will be fun

RE: Nicotiana Babies

If you get the opportunity to grow Nicotiana "Only the Lonely", it is heirloom and will grow true from collected seed. The flowers are white, the plant is NOT dwarf (4ft) and it smells HEAVENLY.
