| A few days ago, I planted some giant sunflower seeds (mammoth). I placed the seeds in pots and left them outside because it has been raining a lot (though there is still sun). However, it's been very windy. I would like to leave them outside because of the light, but I'm afraid the wind might snap them when they get taller. What do I do? & thanks :) |

| I have the same problem. I planted my mammoth seeds last month, and have plants about two feet tall. Something ate two of them (grr) but the rest seem to be doing well. We had a LOT of rain recently, along with strong winds. Since the soil was so wet, they kind of just leaned over at the base. Once it dried up a bit, they seemed to be okay. But I plan on staking them soon. Maybe bamboo stalks? I also purposely grew them up against a fence so I could tie them to it later on. This may be an option for you since they are in pots. Oh, and don't forget that the blooms always face the direction the sun rises. (Another consideration for placement Hope that helps! Kim |

| I suppose I will just try leaving them outside for now. Today it was pretty sunny even with the showers, though I need to find a good spot where it isn't so windy. No typhoon yet so I don't think there is much to worry about so far :D |
