Delphinium grandiflorum seeds now?

I planted a Delphinium grandiflorum about 6 weeks ago and it is setting seeds.
If I cut it back might it rebloom and would it work to sow more seeds now?
Would it be better to wait until fall or spring? Anything tricky about sowing them? I use a lot of compost as mulch and for soil health, but it interferes with self sowing. Thanks! Wobur

Sow seed now for flowers next spring PLANT requirs a 5 week+ cool period to flower. will not rebloom this year.

Can I plant delphinium seeds (or plugs?) in late winter or spring in an unheated hoophouse (zone 5) to have blooming flowers this summer?

I am growing some delphinium now in an unheated greenhouse. However I do provide 70 degree bottom heat to the soil. I doubt they will germinate in your zone with no heat. George says they will need vernalization or a winter chilling to flower and I would not argue with george. Al
