First year with a garden and everything's growing great! Question, I have a couple okra pods from the supermarket here. Will the immature seeds germinate if I soak and plant them, or is it pretty much a no-go? Searched and couldn't find the answer. Cheers,

I think I've answered my own question. After just 3 hours in a plate of water, almost all the seeds are starting to sprout...

Just because they germinated doesn't mean they're going to produce healthy, vigorous plants. Seed needs to be harvested in certain ways or you end up with crappy genetics, growth, yields, etc. Order some good seed from a reliable source like Fedco or someone if this concerns you, otherwise best of luck on your Okra!!
