Germinating Stylophorum diphyllum seeds

I just harvested some ripe seeds from my Stylophorum diphyllum plants, a spring ephemeral that is tricky to germinate. For the moment I have mixed them with some barely moist seed starting mix and put them in the refrigerator. Should I hold them there until late fall before I plant them? I think I read somewhere that they require cold stratification. Should I instead plant them immediately and expect germination this summer?

You've got them now at the temperature where they germinate best, they could catch you off guard if you tend to forget seed pots in the back of the fridge like I do :)

Clothiers: Stylophorum diphyllum, and lasiocarpum, Sow at Max. 5C (41F), germination irregular, often several months

I sowed seed from s. lasiocarpum immediately, covered with a little grit and kept the pot outdoors. They germinated in early Fall, wintered over easily in this milder Z8 (not phased by temps of 22F in February)
