Cracking the Seed Coat/Shell/Hull

Hello, I've been trying to germinate Byrsonima Crassifolia, after trying all other techniques of germination, I find myself cracking the seed.

It has a good 3-4 mm coat/shell/hull in all directions, it spherical, and extremely dense. I've never encountered such a thick seed.

I found on the web that takes 9 months to germinate after 24 days of complete soaking, pretty tough seed.

I grabbed some pliers and opened the seed, I was able to observe 1/2 of the embryo.. I am wondering if it would germinate. The embryo was not damaged on any way when I cracked the seed.

Thanks! :D
