What is a good source for veggie seeds?

Hello again,

This is my second year of gardening so you'll have to excuse my newbie questions lol. This year I've planted watermelons, cantaloupes, summer squash and pumpkins and a few flowers from seed. Next year I want to plant alot more veggies from seed. But I was wondering what company is a good source for buying seed packets?

I haven't really written anything on paper yet, but what I want to plant next year from seeds are tomatoes, bell peppers, banana peppers, jalapeno peppers and more that I haven't decided on yet. I really don't know any specific types of those I want to grow, I'm still learning this gardening thing. And yes, I'm a pepperholic lol.

So what company provides the best seeds to those specific plants? This year I got some Ferry Morse watermelon and squash seeds. They worked like a charm. That's the company I plan on buying more seeds from, but second opinions are definitely welcome.

Thanks.

Justin

There are many 2 of the ones I use are Johnny's seed (johnnyseeds.com) & Stokes Seeds (stokesseeds.com)

I second Johnny's. Also consider Tomato Growers Supply, Territorial Seeds, Fedco, and Seeds of Change. I also get a few select varieties from Burpee and Park.

The key to a great veggie garden is to try different varieties until you find one or two that work well for you. Each area has a unique soil and climate and gardener so if someone raves about a particular seed and it doesn't do well for you then move on to the next one. Gardening life is too short to fool around babysitting seedlings when others work much better.

Baker Creek in Missouri. Great service, good seed. I think their free postage offer is still on.
