cantaloupe seeds

jollyrd

We bought two delicious cantaloupes from the neighbor, he grows them on his land, so we have the same weather conditions. I kept the seeds from one, did not eat the other one yet - saving for this weekend. I gently washed the seeds, and spread them out on paper towel to dry. They are dry for few days now. What do I do next? Put in paper envlope and store in the dark? When do I plant them and how to handle? I am hoping to dedicate a rasied bed for them - plant on the edges in the bed and let the fruits grow on the ground.
