| I have mature zinnia plants in a pot, and after the first week of being planted they began to get dried out and crispy... the flowers died off, and when I pruned them, new buds formed, only to dry out and die as well. I am using a moisture meter to regulate the watering, and it constantly shows 'wet', even though the top layer of soil feels dry. I've tested the meter and it does seem to be working correctly on other plants....I also fertilized them the first week as well.... My area is very hot (high 90's most days).... any thoughts? |

| Over fertilization may be a cause. heat & over watering may be a cause. |
