Help with Columbine Leaves and Seedlings

Hi, I have some questions regarding Columbine leaves and seedlings. First, I sow some Columbine seeds in pots outside on August 2009, have about 6-8 seeds in each plastic pot. My questions: When can I transplant them on the flower bed? (Is it too late to transplant them now, should I just leave them outside in the same pot? or bring them indoor and plant later in Spring? Second, What are those little brown thing grow on the dirt (right- black pot), Will they harm the seedlings? They are looking like the picture below:

Second, What happened with my Columbine leaves below? It turns brownish-black. I got it from a friend and transplant them on late July 2009. I received 4 plants, survive 2, not in good condition when I got them: had to cut lots of brownish-black leaves, found some very tiny black creatures. Please let me know what to do, I checked my Columbine many times and found no bugs-creatures on them.
They grow in shade. What cause the black leaves? Thank you.

1. Transplant them now. There is no need to bring them inside in winter. They are very hardy. They are much easier to establish when transplanted as small seedlings anyway. I just transplanted a bunch of them last week. They are doing great.

2. Not sure what happened. Might have gotten sunburn when your friend gave them to you?? Saw new leaves on one. Must be ok.

In response to your question about the tiny brown things growing in your black pot: they look like the fruiting bodies of a type of slime mold, I regret that I've forgotten which one. They're not harmful and shouldn't bother your seedlings at all. In their mobile stage, they were probably living off bacteria and other microorganisms in your compost.

Here is a link that might be useful: Slime mold fruiting bodies

pitimpinai: I transplant the columbine already. I finally cut almost all of the leaves, it does look like sunburn. My friend grew then on shade too. I think they got sunburn from insecticidal soap I made. I've been fighting with whiteflies
from a neighbor plants :( I hate those little things....
Thank you for your help.

bitterwort: Thanks for the link :)
