Trying to collect Mimosa seeds......

I stopped beside a larger Mimosa tree last week and pulled off several of the seed pouches from its branches, and brought them home. They are larger than green beans, and I assumed there would be large seeds inside, but what I found was confusing.......

What I saw in there were these tiny little oval shaped things that are flat and have almost no substance to them... Are they the seeds? They seem awful small to me.

I want to grow one in a pot, but they donw sell them around here, and they dont transplant well at all, or maybe I should say that they dont transplant at all.

Might not have been ripe... In any case, try soaking the seeds in warm water for 20 minutes, and then lightly bury in rich soil. keep them at 75 degrees farenheit for about a month and they should sprout. Good luck!
