| hey all, I have a couple of rose of sharon trees that are about 6 years old. this is the first time that I have noticed that they have seed pods on them. does anyone know what to do with them? do I cut them off the branches & dry them? do I hang on to them till spring? do I plant the pods in tact or do I pop them open & plant just the seeds? any suggestions are appreciated. thanks a lot. |

| once the pods have turned brown & start to split open then collect seed store overwinter in cool dry dark location then sow in spring OR leave them on the bush & harvest the seedlings that will appear around the bush. |
