| Hi,
I started some seeds (collards, and other greens) last week using the paper towel method; most of the seeds germinated within 2 days, and I planted them in a mixture of perlite, vermiculite, pumice, and peat. I also added a tiny pinch of lime into the mix. A few days ago, I noticed half of the seedlings have brown/light colored spots or not so perfect leaf shape. Here is a picture of a collard seedling: The mustard green cotyledon have light colored almost see through spots. Any idea what causes these? I'm thinking too much water as I kept a paper bag wrapping the whole pot for the first couple of days; and there were condensation inside the bag. |
