Hi everyone!

Does anyone know how long lupine seed (russell hybrid) needs to stratified for? 2 or 3 months probably, right? I collected a ton of seeds and want to start them this spring. Normally i just sprinkle them around, but this time i didn't really know where i wanted them and would like to be able to give some away to friends and such.

Also, has anyone ever tried to propagate Black Cohosh, from what i read it seems a little tricky!

Thanks!
Sarah

Agree with the above post. You are correct that some lupine varieties do need to stratify but the Russell variety are very easy to grow and should be placed directly where you intend to grow them as they grow deep roots quickly which do not transplant very easily. Harvesting your own lupine seeds was a great idea!
