| Hi I'm battling damping off on a bunch of plants, including seedlings I've brought in for the winter.
Anyone know if it is still possible to get No Damp or know of any good alternatives that I can buy? I'm going into my first season of serious indoor sowing, and I want to make sure that my babies survive. Thanks! Grace |

| If you google garlic for damp off, you'll find simplegiftsfarm.com Doug Green has been in the plant business for a long long time. I tried it last year, and either it worked, or I was just lucky and didn't get much damp off. Also, if you don't have a fan for air movement, it might be a good idea to get one. Good luck! |

| I have never used anything for a damping off problem. I eliminate the growing conditions favoring fungus growth. Keep the temperature down, the air circulation up, and reduce the excess moisture. Al |

| Or grow outside, via winter sowing. No damp off. No hardening off. No mess inside. No lights needed. |

| I sprinkle a layer of fine dry material around the seedlings. Sift some peat works pretty well. |

| Cinnamon - sprinkle it over the surface of the growing medium. It kills the spores but won't hurt your seedlings. I grew hosta, daylily & false indigo indoors & used the cinnamon to retard the damping off fungus. A fan on low to circulate the air will also help. |
