| Started some tomatoes in a homemade soil mix of 60% worm castings, and roughly 50/50 mix of perilite and vermiculite to fill the soil out. Is this mix going to be "too hot" for the seedlings? I am thinking maybe I should cut soil in 50/50 with the casting based mix so that it drains a bit, as it really seems to be holding too much moisture as is. Opinions? |

| Tomatoes will germinate in a cow patty or a compost pile. Providing anything special for tomatoes is a waste. Al |
