Weigela Wine Rose what goes with it

I am adding plants to our landscaping in the front of the house. We have a medium sized retaining wall that gets mostly sun. I planned on putting in burning bushes in the back along the house. Then i want to put in the wine and rose weigela. I was also, thinking of pairing it with the weigela minuet, little rascal holly, and maybe a spirea. Does anyone have any other suggestions or ideas for me.

Here's a pic of the W&R cultivar 'Midnight Wine' with 'Magic Carpet' and 'Limemound' spiraea along with 'sedum 'White Diamonds' and rosa rugoso 'Hansa'. I have a 20' long lawn border in this pattern and the dark W&R type foliage/flowers is what makes the whole thing work. I also use abelia 'Kaleidoscope' as a nice contrast.
