wilting leaves on Daphne

Hello. This is my first post here.

I bought a young Daphne odora a couple of months ago, and have it in a pot on my terrace. It initially lost quite a few leaves which turned yellow and then fell off, but I think this may have been due to it being re-potted etc.

It was looking very good until yesterday; lots of new leaf shoots and flower buds, but since the soil was very dry (I hadn't watered it for over 10 days), I gave the Daphne some water last night, and today the leaves look very sad and almost wilting.

I'm afraid that I may have over-watered the plant, even if I don't think I gave it too much water.

Do you think it will recover if I just leave it alone for some time without any more watering, or is it destined to die??,
