My hydrangea are leading out and budding

... and we are expecting overnight temps in the low 20's and the low teens tomorrow night, then back to the 20's. I have 6 hydrangeas. 2 ES, 1 niko blue, 1 compact red (I think it was called red hot) and two other mop heads. All were planted last year. They are all leafing out and have buds. They are mulched well and the cold temps aren't supposed to last too long, so I am not terribly worried about the plant dying, but will the buds freeze? Should I cover them with a sheet? I am in zone 8 in NC.
Thanks
