I planted several boxwoods (30+) in July and they have been doing quite well. I'm wondering, is there anything special I should be doing during the winter though? I know they are hardy to -20 but I'm just wondering, should I be knocking the snow off them at the very least?

The snow might actually be providing them a little protection from cold extremes. Unless the snow was breaking branches, I see no need to remove it.

Last winter, frigid winds damaged many of my boxwood hedges; so you might consider some protection if yours are "out in the open" so to speak. That was the only time I saw real winter damage. Like brandon I always think a layer of snow doesn't hurt, but this winter I laid some pine boughs over the box that was recovering. Thought it would help protect all that new growth that appeared in late summer.
