You can expect it to get around 2'x2' but not very quickly - makes a great low hedging plant for this reason. And it can be prone to the usual euonymus issues - scale, crown galls, leaf spot, mildew, etc.

Euonymus scale is a HUGE!!!! problem .. so huge.. i usually tell peeps to avoid the plant ...

its hard to believe you can not get 'the look' .. without all the problems.. with another plant ...

I think the problem may be very much location related :-) While it can occur in my area, euonymus scale does not seem to be the problem it is elsewhere. And euonymus tend to be pretty popular here too, as many of the evergreen forms are so adaptable to various soil conditions......they grow pretty much anywhere except in standing water!

Pretty nasty, Ken. I'll report back next year and let you know if it infests mine. I planted three two years ago, no infestation so far. It may stay at bay for a few years here in Southern California. If anyone has different info about this area, I'd appreciate hearing it.
