Dwarf purple leaf form of Cotinus coggygria?

I've come across dwarf green or gold leaf forms but never a purple one.

They all seem to get 8'+ even with growing season pruning.

I'm looking for an alternative to barberries.

Acer palmatum just doesn't cut it around here and Ninebark is stricken with powdery mildew in dry soils.
Weigela is another choise but the foilage is more brown green. I've never seen a selection remain purple. Shining Sensation comes close.
