Have not been able to find out on the web.

Most Berberis species do best with pH around 6.0 to 7.0 (just a little acidic).

if you have had success.. why in the world would you go messing with pH????

w/o searching.. isnt brandon saying they are basically at neutral??? ... and if w/in the range of neutral.. i wonder why he seems to suggest that you amend the pH ...

it baffles me that you are messing with success ...

"I wonder why he seems to suggest that you amend the pH"

I only said they enjoyed a slightly more acidic soil than the "average plant". Care to tell me how that sounded like a suggestion to do anything? I'm completely confused!

Amending to me is mixing in soil amendments and not applying fertilizer or changing the pH.
