| Have success with several evergreen sorts, but would like to know best pH for them.
Have not been able to find out on the web. |
Follow-Up Postings:
|
| Most Berberis species do best with pH around 6.0 to 7.0 (just a little acidic). |

| if you have had success.. why in the world would you go messing with pH???? w/o searching.. isnt brandon saying they are basically at neutral??? ... and if w/in the range of neutral.. i wonder why he seems to suggest that you amend the pH ... it baffles me that you are messing with success ... ken |

| "I wonder why he seems to suggest that you amend the pH" I only said they enjoyed a slightly more acidic soil than the "average plant". Care to tell me how that sounded like a suggestion to do anything? I'm completely confused! |
|
| Amending to me is mixing in soil amendments and not applying fertilizer or changing the pH. |
