| Hello. I'd like to grow sambucus nigra, but I've heard that some cultivars like to die at totally random times. I'd like to know what cultivars have been the most reliable for you and what sorts of conditions you grow them in. |

| Black Lace is, I think, bullet-proof. I grow one in full sun, another in a pretty sunny spot but with dappled shade in midday. They are thriving. |
