We have two Solanum rnatonnetti (Potatoe Bush) plants, approximately 7 feet tall. They are pruned like trees. One of them dropped all of its leaves! Last year this tree did very well, bloomed profusely all summer and then through October. I pruned slightly last August, but I don't know if this could've affected it. Also, today I noticed white oval shaped splotches on its trunk. We had a couple very rainy weeks, but this is typical for the season in this area.

Does anyone know if it is normal for these plants to shed all their leaves? Will it be OK?
