The best viburnums (as well as other flavors of shrubs) for birds are going to be those species that are from your part of the world. Viburnum dentatum (Arrowwood viburnum) is the easiest to find, grow, and have lots of fruit for summer avian residents.

Other species likely to be good to grow in Missouri include V. prunifolium, V. rufidulum, V. acerifolium, V. molle, and V. nudum.

Most of the dogwoods and serviceberries are good fruit producers that birds will frequent, as are all of the hollies (evergreen AND deciduous).
