25 ft high euonymus manhattan - storm damaged fall

On by back border there is a large tree (sycamore) which until the recent Nor'easter had some major league sized euonymus manhattan attached (like ivy) and growing up to ~30 ft. The thickness of the euonymus trunks is about 6 inches but two of the trunks have half (top part of the trunk) split about 8 ft off the ground and the top several feet has fallen down.....its still 50% attached via the bottom half of the bark, if thats clear enough....

....is it possible that the fallen part can survive via the 50% of the bark thats still functional. And if it does survive will the many branches which are now on the ground possible generate root systems via layering? That way I will have a huge hedge like screen hopefully. I just don't know enough about this plant but it appears to be an invasive type. In any event the fact that the bulk of this huge growth is now at ground level will mean that the deer will be able to get at least the outside growth but its big enough that they wont be able to get to the middle part.

I have to decide whether to remove the fallen part completely or whether to allow nature to take its course.

Maybe they will hang on by a thread. All you can do is wait and see.
