Different types of Euonymus..

Do some grow taller than others and is there a ground cover? When I was back in IL, I used Marginata and it never grew into a shrub, but stayed low-to-the-ground like a ground cover~is it? Which one would grow the tallest? Are they slow or fast growers/how many inches per year?

I'm wanting a shrub that is fairly thick to use as a barrier, but doesn't take too much maintenance, fast growing, and stays green most of the year. Whether or not it flowers isn't important. TIA ;o)

You might want to try Manhattan euonymus. Its not exciting or anything, but it can be trimmed as a hedge. My workplace has it lining a sidewalk, and ive seen it used around fast food restaurants, where it probably doesnt get too much care.

It looks kindof worn out at the end of winter, but it greens up again.

Here is a link that might be useful: manhattan euonymus

'Manhattan' has wide evergreen leaves, is tough, grows quickly, maybe up to 15 feet. Our deer like it. Flowers are pollinated by flies and stink, if that's what you are looking for.

You don't say where you live. There are many, many varieties, all with different characteristics. Some are only hardy to zone 7.
