| I'm looking for a compact/dwarf crape myrtle to plant at the start of my driveway. I was really liking the red cherry dazzle dwarf because the size/color would be ideal for the location: https://www.gardenerdirect.com/buy-plants-online/119/Dwarf-Crape-Myrtl e/Razzle-Dazzle-Cherry-Dwarf-Crape-Myrtle However, I've been reading here that they don't bloom or are not reliable. That worry's me because I really, really want that showy red bloom. Are there any updates on the bloom for the CDDCM or suggestions for good alternatives? Thanks, everyone! |

| There's a great thread on the shrubs forum that lists which varieties in this series is good for flowers and foliage and which ones tend not to do well for flowers. It includes photos and some input from a grower. There's also one on the New England forum about some of the hardier varieties called Unusual plants around town. |
Here is a link that might be useful: crepe myrtle thread
