information on dwarf viburnums

they say slow growing on the dwarf viburnums could I get away with getting the full size plant and keep it pruned or would is just keep me busy im looking for a very fragrant viburnum. Does anyone know about the dwarf viburnum carlesii Diana I sure could use some help thank you.

You don't want to get a full-sized Viburnum for a small space. IME they are pretty vigorous and would require a lot of ongoing pruning. Even the dwarfs are medium-sized shrubs and only dwarf when compared to the large size of the regular viburnums. The scent of V. carlesii and x Burkwoodii is heavenly (the scent of a hedge of them blooming at the Denver Botanical Garden was my intro to Viburnums) but I have no experience with 'Diana'.
