Dogwood ID

We are doing some plant ID in preparation for a Master Gardener garden tour and the homeowner has this labeled simply 'red twig dogwood'. The stems are not nearly as red as the C. stolonifera 'Arctic Fire' in my garden, which is my only experience with a green-leafed red twig form. Anyone have any thoughts?

Thanks!

Species of "stem" dogwoods are told apart by botanical features, not many of which are present on this specimen in its current state.

Yeah, not in bloom yet (mine are but that doesn't do us any good!) Thx for trying.

Cornus sericea (Formerly C. stolonifera). The twigs lose their red color with higher temps, it will return in winter.
