The Greatest Sensory Experience Is Now!

If you have Judd or Koreanspice Viburnum, no further explanation is necessary. As soon as I opened the car door last night, it hit me. Wafting from the back yard, this fragrance floods my entire property and brings comments from passersby.

I grow many fragrant plants including lilacs, butterfly bushes and roses. The Sweet Viburnums have the most wonderful fragrance of them all. I'm in heaven.

You are so right! I have two carlesii and they are full of buds this year. I see only two that are starting to open and I am eagerly anticipating a very fragrant weekend. I love that spicy fra*grance!

They surely are. But you should try Abelia mosanensis. Also spectacular fragrance.

The anticipation...I have a carlesii right off the patio that has flower clusters this year...any week now! None last year.

I had another one that never flowered (for three years)...that one has flower clusters as well!

I have V. Juddii on one side of my hottub and Daphne on the other side. Not very far away I have a huge lilac blooming. It is heaven taking a long hot soak at the end of the day with the delicous scent of those plants wafting through the air.

Great photos Ken. I'm not familiar with the Alpine Current either.

Gotta go, the Korean Lilacs are about to bloom. They are my runnerup favorites to my sweet viburnums.
