Toyo-Nishiki Quince Roots, Foundation Concerns?

JLieu

Hello,

We are looking to plant some Toyo-Nishiki Quince on one side of our two-story home; however, she had some concerns about the roots. We know about the concerns with trees, but would the Quince roots be problematic to the foundation in long-term?

Also, I've seen some quince trained to grow against a wall. Are there particular steps involved in doing this or is it just selective pruning?

Thank you!
