| Thrilled that my lilac is finally pushing blooms. I planted it 4-5 years ago and this is the first year it's bloomed. A lot of people seem to express their need to become established before they'll do anything. I read it likes full sun--mine gets a bit of shading from taller Crape Myrtles on the western side. Should they be feed at all? I know they prefer alkaline (just about everything else I grow is acid loving). |

| No - don't feed. Doesn't need it. Getting shaded will affect bloom, but perhaps not so much if it's only passing shade as the sun swings around. |
