i dont know about your plant ID ...

but let me talk to you about foundation plantings ... they are done.. to hide the foundation.. not on the foundation ...

plants should be planted so they never touch the house.. plus allow you access to the house for whatever house maintenance need be done ... so to my eyes.. your 3 foot bed is too small ...

check out the link .. it looks like PP is going to outgrow your area very quickly .. and then you will end up with a nightmare ...

at a minimum .. you should consider a 6 foot bed ... if you insist on a plant that has that much potential ...

i learned at my first two houses.. that 2 to 3 feet of space.. at the wall ... is a minimum access area ... and then you develop your beds out from there ...

The bed is not at the house foundation, it's at the end of my front yard parallel to the public pathway. I can widen the bed if need be...
