| My 25 year old forsythia is covered with brown burrlike growths.They look like small pinecones attached to the branches. I've had them for years but this year it is heavily infested with them and the bush is not blooming as much as usual. It really looks scraggly. Is it dying? |

| Sounds like Phomopsis gall. It's pretty common on Forsythia, especially old ones. |
