rhus lo-gro late to leaf out?

are these late to leaf out? I had some, but I can't recall.

I had a patch that I moved last fall. It didn't move well at all. I got several small divisions/runners with very small amount of roots, but none of them look like they are doing anything. One scratch test didn't show any green. (which doesn't necessarily mean its dead)

After I transplanted them they wilted. Not a good sign I'm sure.

I thought for sure this would be a real hard to kill good space filler for a sunny hillside.
