If you cannot convince a local nursery to carry or at least special order the plants you want, then mail order may be the only way to go. Not all mail order nurseries ship twigs with roots - some, like Forest Farms for example, send woodies in a variety of sizes, even 5G pots. Just be prepared to pay appropriate shipping charges.

Ask one of these places to order what you want. You may have to wait however long until they order again, but I'm sure out of 5, you'll find one willing to work with you.

Only reference I found to "Golden Diablo" was for someone reminiscing about the name of the best acid ever to have come out of a lab.

You don't mean two of the Ninebark varieties - Dart's Gold and/or Diablo, perhaps.
