| Hello,
My neighbor has this Evergreen Pine Shrub as a foundation planting -and I really like it. I would like to use this same exact variety; however, I am not exactly sure what it is. Dwarf Japanese Black Pine perhaps??? Anyhow, and help that the experts out there in the cyber-garden can offer would certainly be greatly appreciated. Please see attached photos. |

| Well, they live a few blocks away and I have never seen them outside to ask. I will see what I can do about getting a more zoomed in photo to post. Thanks for trying. |

| Have you ever seen a Mugo Pine? I have 2 planted in our backyard, the 'Enci' cultivar, and if you planted a row fairly close together I imagine they'd look a lot like what you're seeing. Be mindful that cultivar matters with Mugos; some can get quite large over a long time, from what I understand. I'm normally not a pine tree person, but I really like my Mugos. Richard. |

| Most likely a mugo, but we have some other pines here that look similar from 80 feet. Dan |

| they are conifers.. not shrubs... there is a conifer forum .. though i dont really care where you post .... a post over there.. might get you some ideas of named cultivars that will fit a given location ... one thing for sure.. those in the pix are planted way to close to the foundation .... if you care to do the same.. place them another few feet from the brick work isnt there an arboretum in denver ... where you might see some named and labeled varieties.. in person ..... there are some CO peeps over in the conifer forum .... who might answer that querry ... ken |
